Bio
Brent Riggs has been an artist as long a he could grip a pencil. His ultimate destination in life has been the pursuit of success through art, combined with a life of leisure that includes surfing, skating and just being around the ocean.
Brent has been tattooing professionally since early 2007. After long days and years of being a graphic designer, at the age of 30 he threw in the towel of the every day grind of design and marketing to follow his passion for art and tattooing.
Growing up in a typical military town, Brent has always been extremely fascinated with tattoos. Seedy tattoo shops with bars on the doors instantly caught his eye. He received his first tattoo at the age of 17 in what seemed like a dungeon. Brent had always seen himself permanently putting art on others bodies’ at a young age, though the disapproval of his family hindered him from doing so. The monotonous life of being in an office everyday with no flexibility in life was not his vision of a life with gratification and happiness.
Now days Brent spends his time in his element; tattooing, painting, and living the life of leisure at the beach in Wilmington, North Carolina. Thanks to all of the support from the tattoo artist that have given me the privileges, friends, family and clients.
